The pool and sauna are available to you during your period of hire. However, it must be booked ahead and each user needs to acknowledge our terms and conditions:
Terms and Conditions for Use: Scorrier House Swimming Pool
If you would like to use the swimming pool and sauna at Scorrier House, please read the below terms and conditions of use. You agree and understand that you are using the pool at your own risk.
No person will be admitted use of the pool unless they agree to these terms and conditions.
- You must shower before entering the pool, and before and after a sauna
- No lifeguard is on duty
- The pool has CCTV
A maximum of 10 people are permitted in the pool at any one time. Do NOT enter the pool if there are 10 or more people already in the water.
- There is a rescue Torpedo Buoy, Thrown Bag and rescue poolside
- The closest defibrillator can be found at the Fox and Hounds pub, which is directly opposite the main drive to Scorrier House
- You have to be 6 years+ to use the pool
Any child below the age of 12 must be accompanied in the pool and pool garden, by an adult (16+), who is responsible for that’s child’s safety on a 1:1 basis. If the child cannot swim they must wear a buoyancy aid.
- You must be able to swim at least 25m unassisted to use the pool
- No one is permitted to use the pool after dark
No one who has been drinking alcohol/ illegal drugs is permitted to use the pool
- No drinks or food are permitted in the pool
- If you feel unwell at any time whilst using the pool please immediately get out of the water add alert a member of staff
- Please do not swim if you have a pre-existing health problem which could affect your ability to swim or your doctor has advised against it
The pool does not have a heating system and caution should be taken as the water maybe cold, especially if you have used the sauna beforehand.
- Swimmer's with special educational needs and or disability's must be accompanied by a healthy adult who takes full responsibility for that person both in the water and poolside. We do not have equipment to assist disabled people in or out of the pool.
- A first aid kit is available at Scorrier House
- No diving or jumping into the pool is permitted
- Running poolside is not permitted
No loan swimming – someone else must always be in the pool garden if you are to enter the pool.

The Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan which have been created in conjunction with a pool risk assessment can be provided if requested.
